At approximately 22:00 last night someone using a customers mailbox user-id and password sent masses of spam through our outbound mail servers. We have removed the spam and disabled outbound emailing through that account for the time being.

Please can you ensure that your email password is good - simple passwords can be guessed and we don't want to make it easy for Spammers if we can help it.

As a follow up, we will renumber the IP addresses of our smtp servers to try and get around the problems. We're not on very many block lists but one is enough. Email to servers such as BT/Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, Blackberry (to name but a few) seem unaffected. We hope to have this sorted in the next hour
